A Farewell Journey
I am ready to embark on a trip to South Jersey. My Father, Wilmer V. Dunham, recently passed away, so it is likely my last visit out there. I still have ideas for a history piece on Bivalve and Shellpile, NJ, but it seems I will not really have enough time to do research while I'm there. Perhaps another reason to return? I will need to look through old newspapers on microfilm to find what I need, and it hasn't been digitized yet. I will work on a shorter piece with the information and photos I have, sometime after I get back.
I will also be visiting with two of my Stepmothers, and will be recording audio and video for use in some other projects I am working on. Some of that will likely end up on my other blog, Born Under Punches. I will be spending some time in my former hometown of Millville, New Jersey, so stay tuned for videos, photos, and writings about there as well.
I'll also be visiting the South Jersey Shore as well, including Wildwood, NJ. I found a link for an interesting documentary about Wildwood. Doesn't seem available on the internet yet, but can be ordered on DVD. I'll review it when I get around to purchasing it. Here's the link: "Wildwood, NJ" Documentary.
So, while we're talking about South Jersey documentaries, here's one about the Delaware Bay and River, including some parts about Port Norris, Bivalve, and Mauricetown, including a bit about Tom Brown, a Maurice River hunter/trapper, poet from Millville, NJ.

Also, here is a short video of Sea Breeze, NJ, along the Delaware Bay, by Chase Schiefer. My Dad used to take my Sister and I there when we were kids. When I last visited there in 2000, there were still a few families living there. Also, check out this guy's photography: Chase Schiefer Photography.

Well, I'm outta here. Check back after March 20th for updates. Thanks for visiting!
I like most everything, especially those wonderful classical busts.
